There was a time when you would look at Donovan McNabb and, sad to say, all you saw was the Eagles' brass. You saw coach Andy Reid whenever you heard McNabb toe the company line. You thought of Joe Banner whenever he strayed away from the inflammatory. And on the occasion when he refused to say anything at all, you couldn't help but think of owner Jeffrey Lurie and the NFL, knowing this fit right in with the image both wanted to be projected.
